      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ATL Events Group (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

DON'T GET SUCKED INTO IT!! I went in for an in person interview, the office was in a nice area, nice building, but the office itself looked like they just moved in there. It was about a 20min interview with your basic interview questions...pretty easy. I was told that I would hear back later that evening to find out if I made it to the second round of interviews. The second round of interviews was shadowing one of their events... I got the call notifying me I was invited to the second round and I accepted it, but before I could even ask for details the lady on the phone spoke 90mph an hour and told me she would send me details about the event in an email. The event was at Sam's Club an hour and a half outside of Atlanta! This so called "event" was selling beauty products. I've had 3 internships in Events/Marketing and this company is NOT an events company. They're a sales/branding company. Don't fall for this scheme like I did.

      Interview

Long story short... Not worth your time. The process was incredibly rushed. I applied online and within 10 minutes received an email saying that I was selected for a preliminary interview. I didn't even have time to respond to the email before they called me to relay the same information and quickly nail down an interview for the next afternoon. To be fair, the people I interacted with were very nice - I have nothing against them. But my experience was exactly like the reviews I saw online beforehand and should have listened to: - Unprofessional office: Very minimal and inexpensive office furniture. Everything seemed very temporary. This didn't sit well with me since I'm looking for a company that will help me further my career. The receptionist played 2000's pop music from a speaker in the corner. It was strange to fill out paperwork while listening to "Toxic" and "Circus". - The interviewer used lots of catchy words: I remember one review saying that they will try to hook you with catchy words that sound exciting and promising, but don't mean much if you actually analyze them... can confirm that this is true. My experience took a strange turn when he began to interview me for a different position than I applied for. He was mostly trying to gauge if I would be a good candidate for their Executive Training Program, something I knew nothing about. So combine that with the fact that I was still unsure about what the company actually does (their website uses catchy words but is just vague enough where you can't figure them out), my answers were mediocre at best. I left that interview laughing because of how poorly I did. But I got the call later that day saying I was approved for a second interview which just shows how DESPERATE they must have been! I kindly said no. If you are looking for a career where you stand at a booth in Costco and try to sell directly to customers that walk by, this is the place for you! If not, I think you should move along.

We apologize that your interview experience was less than satisfactory. We are proud of our interview process that both highlights our training programs, mentor-ship and growth opportunities as well as present the different positions and compensation plans that we offer. We are seeking candidates who are entry-level or who have no experience. Our team culture, hands-on training, and entrepreneur-focused mentality are what makes members of our team stronger in the business world, and many of which have had great success of their own. ATL Events Group fosters an uplifting and positive atmosphere, however, we will be taking your feedback into consideration. It appears that our business model did not align with your professional goals and we wish you the best during your job hunt.

      Event Marketing Coordinator Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ATL Events Group (Sandy Springs, Fulton, GA) in Jul 2015

      Interview

I was contacted via phone where I had a short phone interview. I was then sent email instructions for the in-person interview. I had an interview with Brandon. It was short, ten minutes tops. I was then told I fit the requirements and that I should head over right at that moment to a different location so that I could shadow someone and see what the job would be like. The location was thirty minutes away which turned into an hour away because of traffic. The second interview was at a Sam's Club. I walked in assuming it was a marketing coordinator position. It was not. It is a sales position. I sat through a second in-person interview and was told I'd be contacted within twenty four hours. The next day they asked me about my impressions of the job and I said I did not feel like it was a good fit. It was not what I thought it would be and they never told me what the exact salary was, just that there was a base hourly salary and if I did not make money on commission they would pay the base salary, which is probably minimum wage. They also went over how long the management trainee program lasts.
