I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Aardvark Swift Recruitment (Rotherham, England) in Jul 2021
Interview
I applied for the role via Indeed and was contacted by the Internal Recruiter a few days later. I had a three-stage interview:
1st stage - Tele screening with Internal Recruiter - brief chat about current working situation, skills, and experiences that I’ve got that relate to the role and personal drive for applying for the role.
2nd stage - Face-to-Face with Operations Manager and Recruitment Director – 2-hour interview covering employment history, talked about skills, qualifications and experiences that fit within the role, reason for applying for role and a couple of competency and situational based questions.
3rd stage - Face-to-Face with Managing Director – 2-hour interview recap on details from 2nd interview along with additional questions that focused more on me as a person and not about skills/experience/qualifications.
I received follow up calls on the same day from 2nd stage with Internal Recruiter to ask about how the interview went, how I found the process and questions asked and that I was successful in moving to the 3rd stage – interview with the MD. I had my 3rd stage a few days later in the same week, good experience and I felt more of relaxed. Especially liked the questions about life for me outside of work. I receive a call from the MD later in the day with an offer for the role and started a month later!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me more about yourself anf what is life like for you outside of work? - this stood out to me as I had never been asked this before and felt recognised as a person with a family and hobbies and not just what I can bring skill wise to the role.
