Question 1
Second round interview questions:
1. Tell me about a time where you had competing priorities
2. Tell me about a time where you had to depend on someone who wasn't cooperative
3. Tell me about a time where you had to troubleshoot a problem
4. Tell me about a time where you were faced with more to do than you were able to manage
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture in Mar 2010
Interview
I applied online with a relatively strong resume and cover letter. I got called by a recruiter one day later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview went swimmingly - it was standard fare, no surprises. The recruiter I had the first interviewer was the recruiter I had for the rest of the recruiting process, and she was awesome.
The second interview was also a phone interview but behavioral in nature. The interviewer was very friendly and asked pretty standard behavioral questions. She sounded genuinely interested in my experiences. The thing that could throw you off your game at this stage are the silences because the interviewer will need a few moments to write/type your responses. I just kept talking to make it less awkward.
The final interview was an office visit. It was lunch/presentation by consultants followed by two 45-minute interviews with managers/senior consultants. The first was a structured behavioral interview - no surprises just questions similar to 2nd round phone interviews. The second was basically a fun, laid back 45 minute conversation. I'm not sure if it was planned that way but if it were, it would be to test your interpersonal skills. I really connected with the interviewer and I didn't even notice that over an hour had passed since the interview started.
So far, I've been very impressed with the whole interviewing process at Accenture. All the people I've interviewed with were friendly and fun to talk with. My recruiter was, like I said, nothing short of awesome.
