First stage over teams and second stage in person with a task based presentation. Feedback received was all presentation based, as I had taken the strategic route to show my thinking and strategic decision making, rather than creating a full end to end campaign brief with creative. Was never asked for examples of work or portfolio although some examples were sent following feedback.
The interview approach of basing the decision on a presentation doesn’t sit well with me due to the fact that I’m not prepared to give away work and time for free, so if you are invited to interview be prepared for the expectation of a detailed, thorough end to end campaign strategy, as this is what the marketing team are basing their candidate scoring on, plus a generic list of questions, apposed to portfolio and conversation.
The team did seem to be early in their own careers when I actually did look into their LinkedIn so this may be why.
Very informal and friendly, micro teach followed by a panel interview focusing on curriculum management and delivery. Good amount of time allocated to the micro teach allowing you enough time to showcase your abilities fairly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you adapt your lesson planning to SEN requirements?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Access to Music (Manchester, England) in Nov 2019
Interview
It went well although I didn't get the position. The people were really nice and open. The atmosphere was more informal and relaxed than other interviews I went to and we discussed not only the job but also personal interests and music. I didn't get the position because of a trial brief, not the interview.
