    Technical Analyst Interview

Anonymous Employee in Calgary, AB (Canada)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Acrodex (Calgary, AB (Canada)) in March 2017.

    Interview

I was contacted by HR, and after a brief phone conversation/screening was invited to a formal interview. Three interviewers were present (HR, Business analyst, and a technical lead). It was of standard length, approximately 30 minutes. I was called by HR the same day (later that afternoon) and offered the position. It was interesting to note that they did not ask for references. I suspect they would for lead, sales, and management roles, though. Due to the nature of the role, I also had to provide a driving abstract and undergo a basic police background check after I accepted the job offer.

    Interview Questions

    • A customer contacts you because their computer cannot connect to the internet. What would be the first step that you should take in the trouble-shooting process?   1 Answer
    • Give an example of how you resolved a conflict at a previous job?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

There were none. It was a set rate, take it or leave it.

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at Acrodex.

    Interview

Straight forward process. The first round was a phone interview from the HR. Second round was an in person interview with sales related questions. The offer process was pretty rushed in my opinion. Offer came out on the Wednesday and the start date is the Monday following.

    Deskside Support Interview

    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Acrodex (Edmonton, AB (Canada)) in March 2016.

    Interview

It was not too challenging, did not have trouble answering the questions and they asked quite a few. I met with HR before the interview at a coffee shop on a separate occasion. The interview at head office took place within a half hour, during which 3 people employed with the company were present. It was a great way to find out more because they were adept with supplying information.

    Support Technician II Interview

Anonymous Employee in Edmonton, AB (Canada)
    Accepted Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Acrodex (Edmonton, AB (Canada)).

    Interview

I was offered the job and we negotiated a salary. However, in the offer letter, they stated my salary to be a full $5000 less than what was negotiated!?! I contacted HR and was told that I must be mistaken or misunderstood. When I insisted, they checked with the hiring manager and then came back to honour the salary I was promised. Can you say bait and switch? If you are in dire need of a job as most are, I suspect you would not question this and take the salary offered which is one of their tricks. Since I did not apply for the job and was contacted by their in-house headhunter, I could not care less so I called them on it.

Be careful of the bait and switch trick!

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Had to negotiate hard to get the salary I wanted and also the time off that was promised was later reneged as the manager said she thought it was only a temporary request, not on-going. Bait and switch...
