The initial remote interview was very nice and made me genuinely excited by the role. I had a friendly, informative conversation with the senior content writer who told me they would love to meet me in person.
On the day of the in-person interview, after which I had completed a lengthy writing task, I was emailed a couple of hours before the meeting that the role had been filled. I was on the train to the interview at the time of receiving this.
While I was disappointed initially, on reflection it speaks volumes about how much they value the time of their potential employees and so I feel relieved to not be working there.
One of the most unprofessional interview experiences I have ever had and it was a waste of my time.
