Interview
My recent experience with Advantary Capital and their “founder”, Stephen Kuhn, has been nothing short of a complete disappointment and a testament to unprofessionalism and a lack of respect for potential candidates. Scheduled for an interview with Stephen, I received an email invite with no video link. Assuming it would be a phone call, I waited for the scheduled time. Ten minutes past our scheduled interview, I had yet to receive any communication from Stephen. Realizing something was amiss, I sent him an email seeking an update. It took a full 20 minutes for Stephen to respond, acknowledging that it was his fault for not including the Zoom link. I promptly provided my phone number as requested. However, after another 15 minutes of waiting, I received an email from Stephen stating, "actually let's hop on Zoom." I immediately joined the Zoom meeting, only to receive a message that the host had removed me. This happened not once, but twice. I communicated the issue to Stephen, explaining that I was encountering an error message. But then, shockingly, after wasting my time for an hour and a half, Stephen had the audacity to blame the situation on me. This was after he had initially admitted fault for not sending the Zoom link in the first place. His email response, stating that I was nearly an hour late for our original 15-minute call and suggesting that it wouldn't work out, was infuriating. Throughout this ordeal, I had been prompt in responding to Stephen's emails within minutes, while he took 15-40 minutes to reply. I had prepared for the interview for hours, only to be blamed for his mistakes. I urge anyone considering applying to this company to exercise extreme caution. Stephen's behavior is indicative of extreme unprofessionalism, an inability to take accountability, and a complete disregard for potential candidates and their time. This experience has left me with serious reservations about Advantary Capital and their hiring practices.
