I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen in Sep 2019
Interview
HR was very un-organized through the process and somehow managed to coordinate the offline video round, and in-person video round almost making the process seem very robotic. The first human interaction via video happened with a peer and there was an evident disinterest to pursue the interview and a lack of understanding on the role and overall company's vision. The interviewer went into asking coding questions, which were not a part of the role or interview process and he insisted everyone should know coding as it was a product company at the end of the day. He told me the interview went well however, and the next round would take place in a week and he mentioned the person it would be with. I didn't hear back for a few days, and on following up with HR I received a generic reject.

Interviewers are looking to assess the candidate potential fit with Adyen, but interviews are very conversational.
First interview with HR was pretty normal. The second interview was with a team member who looked like he didn't care at all. There were no technical questions, all questions were related to my experience so it was difficult to fail. After that, I received a rejection without even a technical interview.
This position is always open and it has been open for years, doesn't seem like they're hiring at all.
