Affinity Medical Group interview questions

I was screened by the hiring manager via phone and his questions were very appropriate to the position. He asked about my experience managing staff and working in the field of Provider Relations. He invited me to meet with him for an in-person interview. Once he felt that I would be a good candidate he invited me to come back a for second round of interviews to meet with a panel of different staff. The experience was fine but after the second round of interviews I never received any follow up calls. They told me they would be making their decision soon but I never heard back. I realized I was not the candidate but felt a bit awkward that they never sent a letter or gave me a call to let me know their decision since I invested quite a lot of time i their process.
