I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alcon in May 2012
Interview
The process is a little extensive. 2 face to face interviews, 2 online quizzes, and a phone interview with the regional manager. Everything was going well until you get to the regional manager, who was completely disrespectful and self righteous. First, they had me call him. He didn't answer his phone and didn't call me back for 20 minutes. He didn't even feel bad about it either. Then his phone connection was bad and I couldn't hear him, so he had me call him again. He spent the whole hour going over my college experience and career path. I am not sure why you would harp on a bachelor's degree when someone has their Masters. The best part is after all of that, it was between me and other person, and they didn't even have the decency to call me back. Completely rude. The way you treat your candidate is a good example of how you will treat your employees!

Question 1
Why do you want to be a pharmaceutical sales rep for Alcon?
A couple of interviews, nice people. They asked good questions about my experience and about the job role. Interviews were scheduled quickly and lasted 30 minutes. Nothing unsurprising about the discussions.

Question 1
Describe a very challenging situation and how did you handle it
Was contacted by recruiter to setup urgent interview. She said she wanted to get me in front of the hiring manager ASAP. Got canceled on and then never got back to me. Very weird experience
