Aleph (NY) interview questions

My interview experience with Aleph was subpar. The initial screening with an internal recruiter was standard and pleasant enough, leading me to the next round. However, I soon discovered a discrepancy between the advertised salary range and the actual budget for the position. The subsequent interview was considerably less positive. The interviewer's demeanor was unwelcoming, and surprisingly, he asked a Leetcode medium sliding window question—a somewhat unusual choice for a front-end role. When I had the opportunity to ask questions, his responses were equally disappointing: brief, curt, and lacking in clarity. For example, when I asked about the typical day-to-day work for an engineer, his response was simply, "It depends."

Overall, the interview process was very thorough, and I got to meet many members of the team. From those conversations, it was clear they all care deeply about the company and definitely know what they’re doing. A few of the interviews were on the challenging side—though that makes sense for a Senior role. If you have a strong handle on React and system design, you should be set. One thing that I didn't realize until the very end of the process was how good the benefits were (full medical, unlimited PTO, and solid professional growth opportunities). If you're interviewing, I'd definitely get some additional details on those to help you make your decision. All in all, it was a positive experience, and I was happy to receive an offer at the end.
