    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Alfa Laval (Portsmouth, VA) in May 2017.

    Interview

This company pulled my resume off an internet job board and asked if I may be interested in a position. Decided to express some interest and had a phone interview within a couple of days after filling out the application. Next I got was a phone interview for screening purposes. That interview was neutral. Two weeks later I got an email asking me to do a phone interview. This second phone interview was dull. The questions seemed to be the same but worded different. I also didn't feel as the questions focused on my ability to perform the job.

    Interview Questions

    • Give an example of a time on a job you had to make an important decision and describe its outcome.   Answer Question
    • Name a time when you had to manage a job and describe it's outcome.   Answer Question

    Clerical Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Alfa Laval in February 2016.

    Interview

Phone interview lasted 30 minutes. Rep had no interest in talking about my current role or my skills. Only two areas were of interest. The first was why I had left my previous jobs despite being at my current place of employment for over a decade and the second area was a barrage of behavioral questions. Had I "made up" situations to fit the STAR scenario I would have been better off.

    Interview Questions

    • Questions only involved behavioral questions and reasons for leaving previous positions.   Answer Question
