Application
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allianz (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2010
Interview
Spoke with a few actuaries at an on site information session, and was given an on campus interview. Interview was conducted by two actuaries, one FSA and one ASA. They mostly asked standard questions:
Let us about yourself? Why do you want to be an actuary? Why life vs P&C? Both interviewers were polite and personable.
Two rounds first was recruiter second was 2 actuaries. all within 2 weeks and overall easy process. first round was in person on campus and second was on microsoft teams
I applied online. I interviewed at Allianz in Aug 2025
Interview
I had a phone screen with a recruiter, which was pleasant and covered basic resume history and exam track. I then had two thirty minute interviews with senior actuaries. One was pleasant, one was more confrontational and technical. Prepare links to your exam studying, technical applications to a product they offer, and how various market changes could affect products.
