I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights in Apr 2026
Interview
I’d be cautious about interviewing with this firm, as the process felt disorganized and inefficient. It also seemed like they may be interviewing candidates just to meet internal quotas, particularly for the associate role, which appears heavily quota-driven. Their outreach was overly aggressive, including repeated emails and texts to my personal number. I completed both required assessments, a short survey and an AI interview, but after finishing the 30-minute AI interview and being told it was successfully submitted, HR later claimed they never received it and suggested I might need to re-record it. I did however complete a first round which was fine. It was mostly behavioral nothing too difficult.

I only attended the first interview. The HR manager was neither friendly nor unfriendly. It was just a normal screening interview. Only self-introduction and motivation for application were conducted in English, and the rest were conducted in Korean. The HR manager asked questions focusing on my background and history rather than understanding the job itself.
First round all behavioral. Mostly talking about previous experiences, how it applies to AlphaSights, and why AlphaSights is a fit role. Wasn't difficult, but unfortunately did don't get selected for some reason even though I thought it went very well.
Initial call with a recruiter to gain an insight into the role. This was followed by two subsequent calls with more senior members of staff which entailed more technical questions. A language test also had to be carried out.
