I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Remote, OR) in Jan 2019
Interview
Initial interview via Google hangouts and then a second which contained a pair programming challenge which was actually someone just watching your every keystroke and offering no useful input or help. Only had about 15 mins at the end of a 1 hour technical question interview to ode once of those tedius algorithm challenges.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Brazil) in Sep 2025
Interview
First had an HR screening. Got asked about what my day-to-day was like, what were projects i had worked on that I felt proud of. After that they sent me a takehome assignment, which was basically to develop an advanced search api with varying criteria. They only sent two CSVs: restaurants and cuisines. I had to build a search endpoint to return five restaurants considering: distance, rating, price, cuisine. I was able to complete the challenge in time, but got no feedback as to why I didnt pass to the next round.

Question 1
Share projects that you worked before that you felt proud of.
Long process -
1st stage - recruiter
2nd stage - tech test which is calling api and mapping onto flights/rotations. Clicking a flight will add into rotations and vice versa. final stage - 3.5hrs, which include interviews with different people and another tech test - 2nd one was on closures. Waste of time and effort with no feedback at all. Avoid it.
