I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
Initial interview is with HR which is very much focused on why AlphaSights. The second round is with a manager, and you have to consider any possible client protection issues AlphaSight may face. They send you an assessment before and then you pick a scenario in the interview to discuss. You also get asked random questions to check how much attention you’ve been paying to the assessment.
No one actually explains what the job entails, and the job description is a lot of words without an substantive meaning. You’re also expected to know risks clients face, when it’s an entry level position.
The interviewer I had was incredibly rude, and rushed through everything. It was clear she wasn’t interested in what I had to say, so I wasn’t exactly surprised to receive a rejection. Without a doubt I wouldn’t have pursued it any further as it was all so secretive which lead me to the think the role had little substance.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY)
Interview
There were four rounds of interviews; I made it through three. You hear back from them almost immediately if you get moved to the next round. The case is not very hard; I didn't really need to prep for it at all.
Six stage interview process including compliance case study (at-home assignment and in-person scenario), interview with members of Hong Kong office, New York office and London office (all part of Client Protection team)

Interview
Four rounds. First round is a typical recruiter screening call. Second round seems to be the most evaluative, part one involves you presenting a take home compliance-related case, as well as doing a brief mini-case live on the call, part two is a typical behavioral interview with a manager. Third round is another behavioral interview with a VP, and the fourth and final round is with the head of legal/compliance, mostly evaluating your interest and likelihood to commit to an offer at that point.
