I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights in Nov 2014
Interview
I applied online for the Connect Day (London) in October 2014. This consisted of a short 200 word cover letter followed by a short video interview. The AlphaSights recruiting team called me to offer a place on the Connect Day. The event was an excellent insight into the graduate role at AlphaSights and all the employees I met were very welcoming.
Following the Connect Day, I was invited for a first round interview. This was a 1 hour interview with a member of People Operations. The questions revolved around my university course and my choice of university, as well as my previous internships/work experience. I was also asked to describe my understanding of the job role and the AlphaSights business model. The interview was very much a two way conversation and one of the most enjoyable first round interviews I have experienced.
I was invited for a second round (case study) interview a few days later, which involved preparing for two-hours at home. This interview was a 5 minute presentation on the research you prepared, followed by questions and then a similar interview to the first round. For me, this was with 3 employees from different departments at AlphaSights.
The third and final round interview was with one of the founders, which was again similar in nature to the other interviews but in greater depth. This is a long interview and goes into good detail about the AlphaSights business model and the role, so make sure you know this well. The company are very interested in how you would fit into AlphaSights, but also how AlphaSights fits your own career path.
Overall it was the most enjoyable process I have experienced for graduate roles, as everyone who interviews you really tries to understand and get to know you.

I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
The interview was conducted online and lasted around 20 minutes. It was a one-to-one video interview with a hiring manager. The questions were mainly focused on my background, previous experience, and motivation for applying to the Graduate Analyst position. They also asked about my expected salary and availability. The atmosphere was professional but friendly, and the interview followed a structured format.
Good interview, asking primarily about characteristics and personal experiences. Very self-focused, with a lot of emphasis on personality rather than technical ability. Overall interviewers in both screening and first-round interviews were nice people and polite.
