      Account Representative Interview

      Jan 26, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amica Insurance

      Interview

I filled out an online application and within a couple weeks received an email for a video interview (not live, but where you record your answers to prompted questions). Then I received an email about a week after that, prompting me to complete a personality assessment online. A few days later, I was called and offered an in person interview for the following week. I went through the in person interview (about 30-45 minutes) and about 2 hours after I left they called me to schedule a second interview with senior management. I went through the second interview (about 60 minutes of discussion and 30 minutes of touring and shadowing an employee) on a Friday, and they went over the company history, chances for advancement, and employee benefits in great detail with me. The first interview was clearly middle management going through a pre-selected list of screening questions. The second interview was less structured. We spent more time talking but as much of it was focused on the company as was on me. They called to offer me the position the following Monday afternoon.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What do you know about Amica? Why do you want to work for Amica? Why do you want to sell insurance? How do you handle stress at work? How do you begin your day at work? How do you manage many different tasks at the same time? Have you ever dealt with a difficult customer? What is one reason you would leave a job? Have you ever been unable to solve a customer's issue? What would your past employers or coworkers say about you?

      Interview

You are interviewed by two or three managers in a small office room setting . You are required to write an essay before the interview which I am convinced no one reads.
