I arrived early at the onsite interview day, signed in and escorted to a meeting room. First interviewer came 10 minutes late, he wasn't prepared and he even didn't know what position I applied for. After I explained to him he asked me to tell him about my current role, he seemed in a hurry and kept checking his phone while I was talking. The face to face interview with the first interviewer didn't last more than 15 minutes.
The second interviewer came, unprepared as well and asked me what position I applied for! He was more fun to talk to though. The interview with the HR lady was rushed as well and she seemed she wanted to end the interview quickly.
I have done plenty of interviews throughout my career and this interview with Anaren was one of the worst. It was obvious that the interview was fake and there is either no position in the first place or someone else has secured the job but they had to interview "x" number of applicants to comply the company's policy. It seems that I was the last actor in the this fake show since the job posting was removed right after I finished the interview.
It is unethical to bring people for fake interviews and waste their valuable vacation time just to comply with the company's policy for hiring.
