The difference in culture between a decent and a good startup, is sometimes evident in the way they treat potential hires during interviews.
After a ho-hum interview process, in which the interviewer seemed to come unprepared and late, was slightly critical of what my current company had built and even disappeared for some time in between the process; they never got back to me with an update in spite of me asking for it. Not even a note of rejection. Totally unbecoming, considering that a potential candidate has to take time off from regular work hours to make it to an interview !
