      At Home Student Advisor Interview

      May 5, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Limerick, Limerick
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (Limerick, Limerick) in May 2016

      Interview

I applied at the end of March and heard back end of April. The interview process in total has taken 2 weeks. The first interview was a 20-30 minute over the phone interview about why you want to work for apple, What skills you would bring to the work team and how you will fit the job into your schedule. Very friendly call and you were given more information about the job as well as checking that you are eligible and meet the requirements (Not on placement, have a internet speed of at least 5mbps download, that you are in a stationary place and have a quiet work space). Once the call is finished you are sent a link to Hirevue, where you are to complete a technical exam. I was given three days to complete this in my own time. The Technical exam was done through hirevue, which is a process where by you sit at your laptop/iphone/ipad, you have a question pop up and you have 30 seconds (or more depending on the question) to read the question first before your camera will start recording you speaking your answer. There were 27 questions like this and once you have finished a question you have time to relax until you manually click onto the next question. This is where they test your Tech knowledge and also gage how you react to a question you don't know the answer to. I then had a 40 minute skype interview with a member of management, which was like the first call interview just more extensive and thorough. Again just asking why you think you would be suitable for the job, that you meet certain requirements, and why you think apple value having a high standard of customer service. Overall the process can be intensive, however they are not expecting you to be 100% perfect and answer everything correctly, otherwise they wouldn't be training you afterwards. The important thing is to be prepared for the technical exam.
