I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (London, England)
Interview
Unprofessional time wasters! The overall process took more than 12 weeks with no updates in between. No updates for 3 weeks after first round. No response from HR to emails. Second round was postponed last minute. Finally second round takes place but an hour in to the interview, interviewer says he was not the right interviewer so requests for another round of interview with another person in an hours time. I have never seen this kind of callous attitude in my career. After me agreeing, another round of interview takes place. Again no response to emails and to calls from HR. After 4 weeks finally a response to a call and they confirm they have chosen to proceed with another candidate. If I hadn't persisted they would have not let me know for another month. Total time wasters and there is a bit of arrogance in everything they do. Hope the market levels their arrogance.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Sunnyvale, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out. Technical screening interview with team member. He asked about BGP and IPSEC. Got invited to onsite just 5 mins after I completed my phone screen. 3 rounds for onsite. 2 rounds with team member and 1 with other team manager. 1st interviewer was kind of in hurry and was not very serious about interview. In 2nd interview team manager asked 10 behavioural questions. 3rd interviewer grilled on resume. Asked about Ansible and jinja2. After onsite, I reached out to recruiter thrice but did not received any response. Its been 6+ weeks and no feedback from recruiter. Apple recruiters are known for ghosting. They should respect everyone’s time and provide response at least for onsite interviews/senior positions. Very very bad experience.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
Initial phone screen. High level, but friendly and went well. Subsequent interview process. Discussions at high level, not too much detail. Definitely they were looking for ability to communicate about past accomplishments. Some decent tech questions presumably relevant to the position. Maybe that was the one thing really missing, a decent understanding of the actual role.
