Interview
The interview consisted of two parts: a competency based section and a research led discussion. The topic was given prior to the interview. The competency based section lasted around 45 minutes, and the discussion was around 35-40 minutes.

Interview
Applied online through gradcracker, filled out their form. Got an email soon after with a link to some online activities; psychometric, personality and skill/technical test, all of them were quite game-like. About two months later I was contacted via email regarding an interview and a brief which detailed an old, stone bridge with one side showing signs of soil contamination. I had to prepare a 10 minute presentation to discuss and justify whether renovation or demolition would be suitable, about an hour of research and prep is recommended by them. The email also detailed that technical questions would be asked alongside my presentation. When I arrived, they started by offering a glass of water, starting with the technical questions and then finishing with my presentation. Lasts about an hour and a half.

Can you draw the shear force diagram for the simply supported beam? [They present a simple pencil drawing of a simply supported beam with a single point load in the middle]

Interview
Tests and then in person interview with general and technical questions. They gave a brief and I showed them my ideas and we discussed different topics and they briefly looked at my employment history.
