Very nice people, good, flowing conversation about the company and about what the hiring manager is looking for.
I have a good few years of experience and we spoke about that and about being a veteran of small and big companies and tech in general.
When the technical interview started I was a stunned at the questions. The questions were so low level and fitting of a grad hire. Calculating bits of a network mask? Who does that in the day to day? There are scores of websites for that, why would I keep that info in my head?
I got the right answer but couldn't reason it by calculating it.
The process did not continue for me which is perfectly fine, just wondering why they would not ask higher level questions to a interviewee with over 10 years of experience, especially after making a point of the need of a strategy thinker on the team.
So, not a difficult interview, but then again, I failed it :-)
