Interview
I was ghosted after six interviews - thankfully I wasn’t taking it seriously at that point and was just entertained. A few interesting people in the process but a few insufferable egos too.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Arootah (New York, NY) in Dec 2023
Interview
I got an email requesting my availability, and after submitting it, received an interview confirmation. When I joined the call, the person that was interviewing me said he was sick and could not show his face. He spoke very quickly about the position and what it entailed. He seemed like he was unprepared and was rushing me off the call. I asked a few questions and was under the impression that I would hear back about the next step. However, the next day I received an unexpected rejection email. Not sure what happened, but I am totally qualified for the position. It just feels like the person interviewing me did not want to be bothered because he was feeling under the weather.

Interview
Following an Indeed application near Christmas 2022, I got a request for a phone screen to happen in early January. Following that 15-minute call, I had an hour-long Zoom with an employee. After that I had an hour-long Zoom with a director. After that I took an assessment, then did another proctored assessment with an Arootah coach. After about a week, I got a request to meet with a C-suite member. At this point I felt like I was playing a video game with an unknown number of levels ("thanks Mario but our princess is in another castle!"). I started to look at other positions since it was so odd and I was getting weird vibes. To be fair, I never asked what the process was or the length of it but this information was neither supplied nor offered. Following this sixth(?) hour of my life I bewilderingly spent on this process , I got another final request to meet with another C-suite member. I was told that it wasn't a 9-5 job which was interesting considering a newsletter of theirs right around that time advised on how to set boundaries at work. I was told it was between myself and another candidate and that I'd hear back either way the following week. Then I got a request to complete a project. It's been two months since that meeting and I've heard nothing. Again, to be fair, I did not reach out to follow up since while I was highly amused I was also uninterested at that point. I hold no ill will, but I thought it might help others to know about the significant time commitment just to possibly be ghosted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were a number of "how would you rate yourself on a scale of 1-10" questions and some such as "is it better to meet a deadline or be totally correct"?
Thank you for your feedback. We aim to conduct a thorough and comprehensive evaluation process to ensure a good fit for both candidates and our team. We understand that the length and complexity of the process can sometimes be overwhelming.
We appreciate your time and effort throughout the process and will review our procedures to ensure clearer communication and expectations for all candidates.
