I recently completed an interview process with Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals for a benefits leadership role and wanted to share my experience for other candidates.
The interview process was extensive, including a nearly four-hour onsite interview with multiple team members. While I appreciated the opportunity to meet with the team, there was no structured break provided during that time, which made for a challenging experience given the length of the session.
Additionally, I was told during the interview that the next steps would likely involve extending an offer and initiating a background check. However, a few days later I received a generic rejection email. The disconnect between those conversations and the outcome was disappointing and suggests a lack of alignment in the hiring process.
The role has since been reposted, which adds to the confusion around the decision-making process.
Overall, while the team was professional during the conversations, the process itself felt disorganized and lacking in clear communication. Candidates investing significant time—especially for onsite interviews—should expect a more structured, transparent, and considerate experience.
