The process began with a standard screening call with the recruiter, followed by an interview with the engineering manager. Unfortunately, the manager seemed rushed to get the interview done, and focused solely on my e-commerce experience and showed little interest in the broader scope of my background. It later became clear they were seeking a near-identical replacement for the previous PM who had left.
After that, I was invited onsite for a 3-hour series of back-to-back interviews with various stakeholders, a significant time investment. I was told I was a leading candidate with recent experience in both e-commerce and replatforming.
However, behind the scenes I was ultimately not considered to be an exact match to the former PM. They reopened the search multiple times over the next **three months**, continuing to engage with me throughout the process, only to eventually decide not to move forward with the role at all.
The entire experience felt disorganized, opaque, and dismissive of candidates’ time and effort. If this is reflective of how they operate internally, I would proceed with caution.
