Assertion interview questions

Interview process of any company is a reflection of their values! In my case i had a very bad experience. I had 3 rounds of interview, in the second round they gave me a coding question related to automating the API which more or less looked like their internal project. I provided them with a working code post which they scheduled my further rounds. After waiting for two weeks and constant follow ups with HR i was informed that they dont have the budget to hire and are going forward with an internal employee. I spent two complete days to complete their coding assignment. Looks like they only needed a working code for the project and not an employee.

Quite a strange company i must admit , the first question the hiring manager asked was weather i was willing to relocate to Mumbai at this time of the Pandemic or not , while the cases in Mumbai are quite high but they still want the candidate to relocate to Mumbai .They are offering work from home opportunity but you have to visit their Mumbai office twice a week. That's super ridiculous they are claiming to be an IT company but behaving like " Kirana " Store nowadays who goes for physical meetings with their own team that too twice a week , then why are the tools like Zoom ,Gtalk and Skype exist ? When you want to interact your team members from the same city during the time of pandemic doesn't makes any sense .
