Work At Home Telephone Customer Service Representative Interview

      Aug 17, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Asurion in Aug 2015

      Interview

Complete the online app, complete the online assessment -passed, You will get an email about receiving a call from the H.R reps in 48 hours. They did not call me with in the 48 hours so I had to call them, which was a customer service line. The H.R. reps are also working from home. She completed the Q A right over the phone so I did not have to call back or they did not have to call me back. The H.R. reps do read from a long script and you just answer simple yes or no to the question they ask; can you do this, can you do that, which takes about 5 minutes. Nothing like an interview which is good. They ask you about your last 2 employers on why your no longer employed there. Then they set up an interview for you to speak to one of the supervisors to call you the next day. The supervisor call me exactly at that time he was schedule to call me. He had a very strong accent so it was hard for me to understand him and by being so,made it hard for me to answer the question, which is unfair. On top of that he seem like he did not want to do the interview and or he was having a very bad day. The interview took about 15 minutes. He ask me question about something challenging to me I think, this is where his language barrier came in at, hard to understand him. Said excuse me once but did't want to seem rude to continue asking excuse me I can't understand you. He ask me about high points of my last jobs on my resume, he ask me about something matrix doing my last job, another question that was hard for me to understand because of his language barrier, dealing with irate customer, where do I see my self 6 months from now. Something about motivates so I just assume he asking what motivates me and he ask me what are 3 things that make me or something like that. He didn't tell me anything about the job as far this is what we do, who we are how you get paid, how it works, the training. Only thing he ask was would you be able to work 90 days from now. I had to ask him those questions, but it was pointless because I couldn't understand him anyway. Overall, I felt like I did well but because of the his language barrier, and not able to understand him it cost me not to get the job and he was not having a good day.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Asurion (Thomson, GA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Applied online through indeed.com. Received email wanting to move forward. Set up, was a phone automated interview asking tell about a time questions. The next day, received email setting up on the phone interview with HR recruiter, 20mins interview same questions, tells more about the position. Same day received email for phone interview with supervisor, 30 mins, similar questions, MUST HAVE NO NOISE IN BACKGROUND OR YOU'RE DISQUALIFIED from going forward. Same day received email to go forward and offer. First had to accept and scan initial paperwork concerning job offer and job description. After that it's just confirming that your system meets requirements, purchasing headsets (for computer usb headset and one for landline), antivirus protection. Drug test and background check took 5 days, 2nd round of paperwork is signing and faxing back to HR and mailing to different address prior to start date. Hardest part was I-9 notary, it's all electronic and it was hard finding someone willing to allow you to open your email on their computer in order to access the link to complete section 2 of the I-9. After all of that our start date was pushed back but only one week so next Monday I'll officially start working. Good luck to you all and come join the team :-)

I called and it was a computer generated voice that gave the interview with simple questions. I recorded my answer after each question was repeated three times. Next day received another email saying they would like to move forward in the hiring process and I should be hearing back from someone in 48hrs. I am still waiting to hear back. If nothing by today. I will call their 800 number.
