Started with applying on their website, sent in my resume. Got an email a week later inviting me to complete a Hackerrank challenge. Completed 3.5 out of 5 questions, overall pretty happy with the challenge.
A few days later got another email inviting me to a phone interview. Had the phone interview, hiring manager was really interested in everything I had to say. Phone call was supposed to go for 10-20 minutes, ended up going for 30 minutes. Asked about Uni, working in teams at Uni, side projects, my current job, interests, Atlassian's values and what I thought about them. At the end of the phone call, the hiring manager said he was going to progress me to the next stage.
After the phone call, a few days later, the scheduling team got in touch with me over email. They scheduled an interview but it was very short notice. They happily rescheduled the interview to 2 weeks later, no worries.
After arriving at the interview, got the tour of the really nice offices. Then sat down for the first interview.
First interview was a "whiteboard" interview in which I described an architecture/system I had worked on in the past. Went okay, felt I could of explained things a little clearer. The interviewer was very engaged and asked questions about lots of small components that I had worked on. As well as asking me if there were any issues I had whilst working on the architecture he asked what I could of approved on.
Second was a programming challenge. As I was geared towards an infrastructure role, I was given the challenge they give to potential infrastructure candidates. Had to implement a small script/program in any language that would interact with a mock api to pull data and manipulate it locally. Didn't finish all 4 tasks in time, but the interviewer had me explain how I would of completed them. As with the previous interview, the interviewer was really engaged and very interested in how I was completing the task.
Finally, the third interview was a technical interview with a team lead. Was asked alot of CS style questions, like "what is the best data structure in this situation", "explain the process of loading google.com" etc. As with the other interviews, interviewer was very engaged and interested.
Overall very happy with the process. Was always up to date with what was happening throughout the process.
Was sent an offer 4 business days after my interview, very quick.
