I applied online, submitting my resume and cover letter. I then had a one-hour telephone interview with HR. The interview covered questions about the role, behavioral questions, and salary expectations.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aurizon (Brisbane)
Interview
I applied online and was contacted via email to schedule a virtual interview with two panel members. The interview itself was fairly standard, but I was asked if they could record the session “so they wouldn’t have to take notes.” I reluctantly agreed, though in hindsight, I should have declined, especially since one of the panelists spent most of the time reading directly from the screen rather than engaging in conversation.
When I asked about next steps, I was told the following stage would involve meeting with the Head of the department. However, I never heard back. I even reached out to the HR contact for feedback but received no response.
Overall, the experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend applying to this company, as their communication and follow-up were poor, and their pay structure is also quite uncompetitive.
