I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Avvo (Seattle, WA) in Sep 2016
Interview
There was a one hour, non-technical phone screening. This was followed by a weekend programming assignment in a language of my choice which took about six hours. Finally I was brought on site for an all day interview. I had 6 different one-hour interviews with various developers in the company, all technical. Each person had different technical questions planned and asked various questions and inquired about my resume.

Apply summer internship position thru their official career website, wait a month for a recruiter to contact me. Then we schedule time for phone screen interview. But it was my very first phone interview, so I was too nervous and didn't go well.

Interview
Amazing intervieew exeperience. I had two interviews. One was with Recruiter. She was very friendly and made me comfortable. I was able to learn more about the company culture during the interview.
Next interview was with two developers, who were very nice. They asked technical questions that every programmer should know. I learned about the software development methodologies their team use at Avvo and also about the team size at Avvo.
I will definitely be applying in future at Avvo. Such a wonderful experience. Kudos to Avvo team. Moreover, they provided interview feedback after the final interview was conducted.

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a HR interview. The recruiter never called me and we later rescheduled for the following week. The HR interview was pretty basic. We went over my background and talked about the company.
I was given a homework assignment (implement the Set Card Game) to do in 2 business days. The day after I submitted the assignment, the recruiter contacted me to set up a Screen Share Technical Assessment. The software developer asked me about my background and then we proceeded onto questions about my solution to the assignment.
After that I didn't hear anything, so I sent three follow up emails asking about my status. The recruiter replied almost a month after my last interview saying that they moved forward with other candidates.
