Fun group interview that’s not too serious and gave food and accurate information about the job should we get it. Was a group of 10 or so other participants and also had a food tasting for all products so we can better explain to customers etc

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Awfully Chocolate in Nov 2025
Interview
Easy going interview quite fun they just explain what you need to know and do and ask you if you have any questions and theyre very friendly and outgoing and its a chill atmosphere
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Awfully Chocolate (Singapore) in Aug 2025
Interview
I had an interview with a manager from Swee Lee, a straightforward, friendly, and clear communicator. It was easy to see that she has high expectations and places strong emphasis on providing GEM (Going the Extra Mile) service to customers. This is understandable given the company represents a highly recognised and respected brand in Singapore.
HR Experience
However, the experience with the HR team was disappointing. After the interview, they proceeded with a background check, which I complied with. But when I followed up afterwards to check on the status, there was no response at all, not even a courtesy reply.
For a company with such a solid reputation in the industry, this kind of communication from HR was surprising and unprofessional. It gave the impression of poor internal coordination and lack of basic candidate respect, which detracts from the company’s otherwise strong public image.
Overall Impression
The team you’d be working with seems capable and passionate, but the recruitment process needs serious improvement especially in terms of follow-up and candidate experience.
