Though it took quite some time for an internal recruiter to reach out after I submitted my application, the recruiter was friendly, professional, and informative. I had a phone screening with the recruiter a week after being contacted in which we discussed my motivations for applying to Aya and what I do in my current role. The recruiter explained the position with details relating to responsibilities and compensation, then I was contacted a week after to schedule a virtual interview with 4 people working in recruitment. The interview began on time and the interviewers engaged with me about my past roles and how they would relate to the position I applied for. All interactions seemed positive, the interviewers seemed bubbly, and the interview lasted for about 45 minutes. When it was time for my questions, the interviewers put a lot of thought into their answers. I thought it was great that the direct supervisor for the role and their supervisor were present at the interview and could provide helpful insight (and allow for me to meet my potential team!). To prepare, it’s important to reflect on your past professional experiences and your goals (both personal and career-related). Being honest and open about these can allow the interviewers to see if your goals align with the company and the potential for growth in your role. Excited to start working with Aya!
