I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BASF (Wyandotte, MI) in Feb 2011
Interview
5 person interview. 1st with HR, 2nd with two managers, 3rd with two managers. Interview question seemed to be repetitive in a different format by each group. Interviewers very difficult to read. The overall hiring process is difficult, background check was very detailed, the representative required the telephone number and address for my middle school. Seemed a little ridiculous since I was a college grad.
There was a short phone interview to start with the hiring manager and then an interview in front of a panel over a video call. The first interview was very basic

Brought me in for 2 rounds of interviews, only to find out that there were no open positions. It was a continuous recruitment process. I was notified that someone with more experience was hired.
