About ARR Investment Partners
ARR Investment Partners manages a Global Long / Short Equity strategy designed to deliver positive returns in all market conditions. Since inception in May 2013, the strategy delivered total returns >100% and got shortlisted for best global l/s equity hedgefunds with less than 500 mln AuM. In March 2020 we generated +19% for our investors while the market suffered drawdown. We built our in-house portfolio and risk management system, and we use both state of the art quantitative and bottom-up fundamental elements in our investment process.
Job Description
Working directly alongside the Founder / Portfolio Manager and the quantitative analyst, the role will focus on all aspects of the investment process, serving as a protégé to the PM, with a view of developing into a full time Portfolio Manager. The role will involve working on fundamental equity analysis, financial modeling, fundamental bottom-up sector research and analysis. You will be encouraged to develop your own investment ideas which will be implemented in the investment portfolio.

Interview
After the meet the firms event, where we met some of the associates and seniors, we were invited to an On-Campus Interview where we spoke to a Manager who ran through some basic interview questions and some discussion about what you expect from a company. After the on campus interviews, there was a group interview/ office tour. during the tour we spoke with 3 different managers and senior associates that had different questions for us and were open books to our questions. Next stage was a more focused interview where we spoke to some other members of the firm and went to a dinner. another dinner was offered to those who made the last stage and offer letters were sent out shortly after.

Question 1
There were a lot of different questions obviously. They ranged everywhere from "Why BDO?" to "what sort of family-work balance would you expect upon hire?" to "what are you favorite sort of hobbies or activities you like to do?"

Interview
2 Interviews with a Manager and a Partner; They were both really nice and insightful. I was able to freely ask any questions about the company. They also gave me their emails to reach out at anytime.
