I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BDO (Southampton, England) in Jul 2020
Interview
Applied online for a summer internship, took some assessments and did a virtual interview. Passing these lead to an applicant day at the office where we were assessed on our ability to work in a group with other applicants. We also had to give individual presentations to an assessor on a project we were given that day. After the summer internship there was a 45 minute interview with a partner at BDO to secure a place on their graduate scheme. Very informal interview and very comfortable.

The interview lasted about an hour and included a mix of motivational and job simulation questions. They asked about my skills, previous experiences, and specifically why I chose BDO instead of the Big 4 firms.
The interview process at BDO typically includes an online application, assessment tests, one or more interviews (often behavioral and technical), and may involve case studies or situational exercises to evaluate problem-solving skills.
It was an easy and smooth interview process with friendly interviewer who was knowledgeable. The assessment centre was also a good experience and all the rounds were very clearly explained to us and the group discussion topics were also interesting.
