I was originally contacted through my LinkedIn profile and scheduled a call after my existing job to discuss BT's opportunities. This initial chat included questions regarding my existing experience, and why I would be considering moving to BT. This went well and I was interested so I was put forward for the Software Engineer (and possibly senior) role. However, the person responsible for handling the technical interview did not speak to me and instead only sent meeting invites over email, setting it for an afternoon. So I scheduled this half day off at work. Following this the technical interviewer rescheduled far too close to midday to allow me to get home in time. After several unsuccessful attempts to discuss the time with this person (each email being met with a slightly different and still unsuitable time, despite explicitly being given my availability) we were unable to agree a time. I rescinded my interest shortly after another non-communicative cancellation meeting invite email arrived. Ultimately this process was distant and incredibly rude. Further, disrespectful of both my time as a candidate, and my existing obligations to my job.
