I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Barclays (Boston, MA) in Jan 2012
Interview
One 30 minute first round interview, followed by two 30 minute final round interviews. Offer was communicated two days from last interview. Interviews were on campus at a target school. Questions were fit oriented, with minor technical points following from resume overview. Interviewers were friendly and the process moved very smoothly overall.
Same day had a case study to analyze, questions to answer with a person playing the role of a manager
Then had a one to one 'real' (non fictionalized) interview with a member of staff
this was at final stage of the application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
Had to go through a series of initial assessments which weren't too bad and then in the final stage there were 2 in-person interviews. The first required us to carry out a presentation based on a case study we were given in advance and the second was a classic questions and answers
