Had an hour-long interview with the Marketing Director. It felt like a great conversation. They gave me an assignment to do afterwords with a specific deadline, so I had to do it during my vacation that was already planned. I sent in the assignment on time. They never messaged me back until I followed up. Then they responded saying they were really busy and that they would get back to me later. I never heard from them again. It was really frustrating because I spent quite a few hours on the assignment which was already lengthy and cumbersome to begin with.

I was contacted via text about scheduling an interview. I showed up to the interview, but the doors were locked so I texted him. A few minutes later I still hadn't heard back, so I tried calling the number. The number wasn't able to take calls. I waited half an hour before giving up and leaving. I never heard from him again. EXTREMELY unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and gas and prior preparation, not to mention rude. I wonder if they even had any intention of interviewing me. Terrible company. Don't even bother applying.
- They didn't ask me anything because they never showed up to the interview we scheduled.

The name of this company makes it seem glamorous but from my experience, the glamour stops there. I had a couple good virtual interviews- no complaints there! Then there was a "design test" portion of the interview process, which unfortunately is the case with about a third of the companies I've interviewed with (feels like working for free with no promise of even making it to the next round of interviews; as a graphic designer, I work hard on my portfolio to ensure it's impressive and representative of my design skills- yet another "design test" seems unnecessary and patronizing). The test seemed excessive and the instructions were confusing and even contradictory, but I gave it my best effort and spent quite a few hours on it. The next step was an in-person interview and this is when I realized this is not somewhere I'd like to work or a company I'd like to be associated with. The office was very run-down and bleak-seeming. There was some tension between the two women interviewing me that made me feel uncomfortable, the interview went way over time, and when they reviewed my design test their only feedback was that I "didn't follow the instructions". I left feeling frustrated and that I'd wasted so many hours of my time. They never followed up with me- I only realized I didn't get the job offer when I saw the job posted again on Glassdoor. I wouldn't have taken an offer if I had been extended one and I ended up getting a much better job at a reputable company so it was all for the best, but I do hope my experience can serve as a warning.
- What is an experience you've had in which you learned the most about leadership in graphic design?

I had a phone interview (which started an hour late) and then spent 3 hours creating a test project for this position. An in-person interview was set up, only for me to receive an auto-response email saying they chose someone else and then an event cancellation. Not sure if it was a budget issue or someone got hired internally. This was a huge waste of time and extremely unprofessional.

Phone interview. Basic questions - what are your strengths, etc. Interviewer seemed distracted and was not listening to responses, like she was doing something else while on the call. Also late to the call.
- What do you do in your off time?

Loved the energy of the company! Seems like a great place to work! However, I was asked to do a test project, spent quite a bit of time on it — and they never followed up to let me know if they wanted to proceed or not. I emailed back and was told they would let me know... followed up one more time and ghosted. I understand busy times of year, but definitely would’ve liked to hear back as a common courtesy. :) That is my only reasoning for needing to give it the thumbs down.
- What are your qualifications for this role?

It was rally upbeat and they were both really nice, not intimidating at all and complimented everything about me! I felt really comfortable and confident when I finished the interview.
- How I dealt with an angry Customer and how did I fix it.

I met a lot of the team and was asked interesting and fair questions. I was given tasks that not only let them know how I would do if selected, but also gave me a good idea of how the job would be.
- They asked me about a time I was able to solve a work problem by being resourceful.

Great - not intimidating at all. It was a one-on-one interview that did have hard questions but I didn't feel pressure or intimidated by the interviewer. It was more like a nice discussion; probably one of the nicest interviews I've ever had.
- What is your greatest strength and weakness?

A sit down conversation with just the manager. While it was a formal interview, the manager made the interview comfortable and easy to talk to rather than an interrogation.
- Parts of the job often changes quickly with little notice. How would you handle changes like this?
