I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Belk
Interview
Interviewer was pleasant and easy to talk to. Applied through school's job fair. Left a bad taste in my mouth whenever I was ghosted after the interview and being told I would receive more info. 2 follow ups with interviewer and no response. Not a good look to someone who was very interested.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to work on a team and resolve an issue
I applied online. I interviewed at Belk (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2023
Interview
Phone screening, then virtual interview. Then I was selected to come to office in NC for superday, travel cost and hotel covered by company. Superday was easy; a terrible “tour”, two behavioral interviews, a group discussion, and a case problem. Interviews went well, but I was rejected the next day or so. No response to my follow ups whatsoever, so that put a very bad taste in my mouth about the company. If they hire new people for this program every winter and summer, I cannot imagine the turnaround after the first year or two working there. They also didn’t know how many people worked in the specific department if that tells you anything… the one interviewer was also blatantly ageist toward young professionals as they made inappropriate comments towards people my age… the office is barren and I can imagine being very miserable and in one area it smells like urine… My advice is to apply elsewhere, other company’s value you more, and you will be more than just a number.
