Video screening interview with HR less than. 30 minutes. Invited to a video interview with hiring manager, around 45 minutes, both conversational and unstructured, no formal competency based questions just chatting about my background and the role. It wasn’t a bad interview but frustrating that the hiring manager was insistent previous publishing experience was essentially when the advert and HR had not indicated that. Given it was clear from my CV I didn’t have publishing experience, and I spent a lot of time prepping for the interviews, it felt frustrating that I was interviewed at all but all interview experience is practice.
