The interviewer no showed once, then rescheduled later. He then rescheduled once again. Not a very positive first impression. When we finally met, it was a bit alarming when we walked into their office space to find folding tables and chairs and not much else. We actually interviewed in a small meeting room, which was fine. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, although they didn't seem totally prepared. One of them used some off color language, which I had never heard in an initial interview and it struck me as inappropriate. I sent a thank you email that day and expressed my interest in moving forward. I received no reply so I followed up again about 3-4 days later. Still no response. I finally sent a third email, which was a bit more direct and got a reply the next day. They said they were busy traveling and couldn't get back to me sooner. We all know an email response takes less than a minute, so I thought that reply was weak and unprofessional. Ultimately, I wasn't offered the position, although with the red flags I saw, probably wouldn't have accepted it.

Interview
Unprofessional - I had time scheduled (who reached out to me first) with a recruiter who just did not call me at the scheduled time. I sent a message understanding that something may have come up and a time to reschedule. Didn't even bother to respond to that either. People prep for these meeting and take time to do research so it feels like there is just no regard to people's time and energy.
Screening call with recruiter, then call with hiring manager. Laid back people and an emphasis on culture. The last step was to do a panel interview with leadership, but it wasn’t a good fit for me at the time

Talk me through a time that you learned from failure?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Birdeye in Apr 2024
Interview
I applied online for the Upmarket Account Executive role and received an invitation to a first screening interview. First, the recruiter missed the interview and I had to contact him to see if he was still willing to have this conversation. So, we planned another first call.
He mentioned he was going to give me some feedback a few days later but I never heard back.
Thus, I emailed this person directly to know if there was any feedback but my email was completely ignored. What a lack of professionalism, take people's time they will never get back only to ghost them!!
