Bitwise Asset Management interview questions

A founder sent me an email out of the blue asking if I'd like to talk about a job. I replied to the email in 14 minutes saying that I would like to chat. Eight days later he replied saying that they had other candidates in later stages. I don't know what the scam is, but I don't think this is good.

Was reached out via email wanting to know if I was interested. I responded with a few basic questions, like the location of the interview and what the salary range was. They got back to me a week later saying they had already started onsite interviews and if those didn't work out, they would reach out. I don't understand why a company would ask for an interview, and then turn their back because they've already got folks in the pipeline. A complete waste of time and incredibly unprofessional.
