I applied in November/December of 2018 and received a response in January 2019 to set up an initial call with recruiting. They asked me basic questions about my background and the information on my resume. Towards the end of the call the recruiter titled "Global Sourcing Partner" told me to expect a call from the hiring manager on the following Monday. I waited until Thursday for a response and emailed to request more information since I hadn't received any contact. I waited another week and emailed again with no response. After 3 weeks I still haven't received any further communication and the hiring manager still hasn't contacted me. All in all I can appreciate if we aren't a fit for each other, but the time it takes BlackRock to get back to candidates is unacceptable. 2 months to get to and through a phone screen and then completely ghosted.
