I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Bluemercury (New York, NY) in Jul 2016
Interview
I was interviewed by the current manager at the time as her replacement. It was informal and very flat. Since she was the only one at the store she had to help customers and do an interview. Additionally she had no office so she interviewed me in the hallway by the bathroom. I had a phone interview with the DM. That interview was more challenging. But I had to argue for my pay very aggressively.
I applied online. I interviewed at Bluemercury in May 2024
Interview
I had my initial phone screen with HR which kicked off on time. HR told me that my next interview would be in person a week later, I had to follow up via email to see if the interview was going to happen. When I got my interview day in the store I was told I'd receive communication in a week for a final decision, but I had to follow up for an update. I ended up having a 3rd interview that was pretty quick and was told I'd receive a final update within a week but never received a response.
