My experience with the recruitment process was mixed.
The recruiter and first-round interviewer were excellent. Communication throughout the process was timely, professional, and transparent. The first-round interviewer was well-prepared, respectful, and asked relevant questions that allowed me to clearly explain my experience and skills. It was one of the better interview experiences I have had.
Unfortunately, my second-round interview experience was significantly different. The interviewer joined the meeting late, and I waited approximately 30 minutes before the interview began. While delays can happen, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay.
During the interview, I felt the conversation was rushed. The interview lasted only a short time, and I did not feel I was given a fair opportunity to fully explain my experience or answers. Several times, it seemed that the interviewer moved quickly from one question to another without fully engaging with my responses. The discussion felt more like a checklist exercise than a genuine evaluation of my background and qualifications.
Additionally, the interview ended abruptly without providing an opportunity for me to ask questions about the role, team, or project. As a candidate, that left me feeling that the conversation was one-sided and that my time and preparation were not fully respected.
If possible, I would recommend assigning interviewers who can provide a more structured, punctual, and candidate-friendly experience. My first-round interviewer was very professional, prepared, and respectful, and that discussion felt fair and engaging. I would appreciate seeing that same level of professionalism and structure across all interview rounds, regardless of who conducts the interview.
I appreciate the opportunity to interview with Bounteous, and I would like to emphasize that the recruiter and first-round interview experience were outstanding. My feedback is specifically related to the second-round interview experience, which I believe could be improved by ensuring interviewers are punctual, allowing candidates adequate time to respond, actively listening to answers, and providing an opportunity for two-way discussion.
