I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Breakaway Marketing (Pittsburgh, PA) in May 2016
The interview process was very straightforward and efficient. I applied for the job and got an email a few hours later instructing me to call them. The next day, they called me to set up an interview. I had an interview two days later. When I arrived there were three other people waiting to be interviewed. The interview itself was very short. They asked me one question and then went on to 'sell' their company to me. Very little time was spent actually discussing my qualifications. This interview was basically a sales pitch to work for their company. The job description was very misleading. This 'marketing' job is basically just selling DirectTV out of Costco.
- Why did you apply for this job? What do you like about this job?
- Do you have any questions for me?

I applied at 11:00am, they called me at 3:30pm asking for me to come in for an interview the next day. They named the three locations of their "headquarters", which I came to find out are Costco stores. She wouldn't tell me anything about the job, and when I asked more questions she gave an attitude and hung up.
- What kind of work I was looking for, if I was still in school, and if I have "customer service skills, management skills, or both".

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Breakaway Marketing (Monroeville, PA) in May 2015
Breakaway Marketing was very misleading in their job description. When I showed up for the interview, the interviewer had to look through a big stack to find my resume and it seemed to me it was the first time he had looked at it. After a sales pitch about how I could have unlimited earning potential and quick advancement, I pushed for details on the position. You basically sell Direct TV at a kiosk in Costco for commission only. They did their best to avoid telling me this on the phone and on their website. The whole thing felt very deceptive to me.
- Do you know anyone else who might be interested in this position?

Brief. It's not very long he will explain how the tiering system works and how much money you can make and how that helps him make more money. He will also talk about how you can get promoted but it is not truly as easy as he makes it sound.
- Do you want to get to management?

No questions for me when they set up the initial interview and they forgot my name so they obviously didn't actually look at my resume. They wanted an interview for the next morning, after calling at 2PM. Nobody can plan properly for that. Pretty unprofessional first call and they refused to answer questions like, is this commission based or hourly? What is the job description? Do i need a car for work? Very evasive and that is concerning. Sounds like a very big waist of time to go to an interview to have my most basic questions answered. The interview is to decide if you want the employee, not the other way around. It is obvious that most people don't "like what they are selling" to employees and that they will hire anybody. All I wanted to do was have an explanation of the job so I knew how to approach the interview. Instead I get no answer Jane who won't lie but won't answer a single question either. Not planning on going to an interview. If you want a job to pay your bills do yourself a favor and look elsewhere this company seems to be made of pros for wasting precious time most people need for finding real jobs. I have bills to pay and hate companies that waist time like this one.

Kept it very vague and didn't really answer too many of my questions, looking back on it it is now very obvious that the person conducting the interview was just trying to convince me to get to like them.
- none they will hire anybody

I had my first interview today. It was very professional. I was told they would be calling people back in the next few days for another interview if they meet the qualifications to move on to the next step. I think Breakaway Marketing would be a great place to work.
