I applied in-person. I interviewed at Buffalo Exchange (Minneapolis, MN) in Apr 2023
Interview
Walked in to sell my clothes and asked if they were currently hiring, and the person behind the counter gave me an application that took about 15 minutes to fill out. I had an on the spot interview that lasted about 20 minutes then scheduled a second one where I had to pick 3 things off the rack that I would buy and why, and 3 items I would pass on and why. In the second interview you’re asked a lot of questions about trends and brands and your customer service history.
I applied online. I interviewed at Buffalo Exchange (Haight, CA) in May 2026
Interview
The people at Buffalo are really nice and cool, the interview went smoothly and they explained everything well. They asked mostly about what brands I like. During the interview, they also talked about love for fashion and trends.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to pick 5 things that would sell quick or slow.
3 rounds. 1st round you are assigned a rack in the store and have to select 6 items, 3 you think will move fast and 3 you think won't. 2nd is a standard interview. 3rd is a reference check and a pricing quiz.
easy, very average interviews but had to do 3 rounds of interviews which was time consuming and seemed like overkill for the job and unnecessary but what ever. managers were super nice and I liked their company mission
