CAPTRON Electronic interview questions

They scheduled an online interview and no one shows up on the interview day as there was problem with the interview link (HR's mistake). I contacted her and she said I will send you another link with new interview date. After two days I got a rejection Email saying we decided to go forward with another candidate. This was completely unethical as they decided for a certain candidate without hearing others, wasting their time.
